When the project leader gave a lecture at a secondary school (Freies Gymnasium Penig) on her subject, she took the opportunity to present the Quarry Life Award and the quarry of Heidelberger Sand und Kies in Penig, Saxony.
After informing the pupil and answering questions, she distributed a survey in which the pupil of the 9th and 10th grade were asked to provide information on their level of knowledge and interest in the subjects of raw materials / energy, nature / environment and social media. The results show that SOCIAL NATURE is following the right approach: 81.25 percent are interested in learning more about digital and social media, while more than 68.7 percent stated that they would describe their knowledge of raw materials and energy as low. Therefore, the project uses the big interest in new media to build up and share knowledge about biodiversity and quarries with the community. Stay curious!
